PREVIOUS EVENTS 2022-23

At LPS, we are aware that working with external partners will enhance the delivery of RSHE and will provide support by bringing in specialist knowledge and implement different way of engaging young people throughout the academic year

March 2023 

Friday 3rd March: Hope Not Hate will be working with our SEND pupils completing a workshop on valuing girls and boys. The aim is to counter the “Manosphere” and anti-feminist narrative that is becoming more prevalent online. 

Friday 10th March: UpFront Theatre are returning to ​LPS with their tour of their new PSHE play: Before Anyone Else. Created in response to the #MeToo movement, the play and interactive lecture explores consent, relationships and sexuality. Students are invited to identify positive vs. negative relationships and offer advice on how to end toxic relationships.​

Tuesday 21st March: The Money Charity will be completing a virtual lesson on Financial literacy for our year 13 students to understand how to manage finance in preparation for independent living whether students are going to university/apprenticeship or the world of work. 

Tuesday 21 March: The Message will be performing using original music, personal stories, and pupil discussion to encourage the pupils on the theme of 'resilience and wellbeing' to help the students continue to process the after-effects of the pandemic. 

April 2023 

Friday 21st April, we welcome Hope Not Hate running a workshop to combat stereotypes promoting inclusiveness with our SEND pupils​

May 2023 

 

Wednesday 10th May 2023: Loudmouth explores grooming, child sexual exploitation, online safety, consent and exploitation into crime including county lines and knife crime. Year 8

Thursday 11th May 2023: Loudmouth will be working with our year 9 students. This workshop is called Working for Marcus it is a theatre in education programme that raises awareness of Child Exploitation (CE). The programme explores grooming, child sexual exploitation, online safety, consent and exploitation into crime including county lines and knife crime. It helps young people aged 13 and upwards to spot the signs of grooming and where to go for support.​

June 2023
